3CC  &  2CC  NOTES  FOR  2010 (1)   When a fixture is arranged, a RESERVE DATE – which is BEFORE the deadline – MUST also be arranged. (2)   Changes to the playing conditions.(a)  The maximum number of overs that a bowler is permitted to bowl is reduced to 4. This is to involve more players in the game – teams already need to use 5 bowlers in league matches.(b)  Umpires should strictly enforce the 15 yard run-up, i.e. bowlers who start their run-ups by walking a few paces must start within 15 yards.  (3)   NEUTRAL  UMPIRES – the club in red in brackets underneath each tie should provide2 Umpires. The home club should notify the Match Secretary of the bracketed club whenthe tie is taking place and if the match is postponed for any reason. (4)   Teams should be ready to start cup ties at 6.30pm prompt. Earlier starts are to be encouraged. (5)   The Union Secretary will arrange neutral umpires for the semi-finals and finals.  (6)   The Union Secretary will arrange dates and neutral venues for the 3CC semi-finals andfinal. (7)   The Union Secretary will arrange the date and a neutral venue for the 2CC final. (8)   After due consideration, the Union Committee decided that Gordonians should play in the 3CC on geographical and historical grounds rather than in the 2CC.
